My Students

I'm a special education teacher and I teach a PCC class that celebrates inclusion. My students spend their day with their typically developing peers. My classroom is about building skills to get included. The work we do in this classroom is building relationships, staying with the group, following directions, and accessing general education content in different ways. In my class, we believe in positive behavior support and try our best to meet the needs of each individual child. We celebrate little wins together each day. I have many students that come from low-income households, so your donations make a huge difference in their learning.

My Project

With schools closed, online learning has become the new normal. Most of my students come from low-income families and the pandemic has been extra difficult for them. I am currently putting together learning kits with different materials for my class. With your donations, my students will have useful materials to use at home during remote learning. Dry-erase boards will help my students greatly, They can use it for math, literacy, and social-emotional learning. The books will continue to enhance their learning in different areas. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind and I have also asked them what type of books they would enjoy reading. With a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card, I'll have access to more digital learning tools to share with my class on Zoom. We appreciate your generosity in advance!
