My Students

"The world is at your fingertips." The goal of this project is to make this statement come true for my students. The 3D map making kits will help my students explore the outside world that they may never get to see on their own.

My students come from very diverse backgrounds and every level of learning.

Our school is located in a low income area and many of my students have not had the same kind of experiences as more fortunate students. In order to help make up for this, I try to bring in as many outside resources as possible. The materials provided by this project will not only help my students identify various landforms and areas of the world, but also increase their interest in learning about the outside world.

My Project

It's very hard to explain landforms and regions of the world to my students because they have no outside experience with anything outside their hometown. These map making resources will not only teach my students about geography, but hopefully inspire them to learn more about the world around them.

Help my students learn what other parts of the world are like.

Inspire them to research and discover new cultures and locations. Give them a hands-on activity to help them not only make maps, but to also increase their knowledge.
