My Students

Do opposites attract or repel? My fourth grade class would like to solve this magnetic mystery.

Our school is located in a middle class suburban neighborhood.

My students are supported by families that are actively involved in their education. The school staff is committed to providing learning experiences that extend beyond textbooks. We are fortunate to have highly motivated students who enjoy learning.

My Project

I have requested magnets, compasses, and electromagnetic sets. The hands-on materials will provide my students with a deeper understanding of magnetism and applied physics. I have also requested follow up library activities to help with vocabulary mastery.

The principles of magnetism underpin many of the technologies that students utilize daily, but may not realize are all around them.

Exploring magnetism will encourage students to recognize how the principles of science exist in every day life.
