My Project

The items in this project will significantly enhance the learning experience for our students. They will also help boost engagement for your Outdoor Learning program as the weather gets colder in the months ahead. As you have seen in other posted projects, we are taking our learning outdoors. It is crucial to ensure that Maslow's hierarchy of needs is met before focusing on Bloom's taxonomy. In other words, students need to be warm and comfortable before they can effectively learn and engage.

We want students to be able to learn outside, no matter what the weather has in store.

Having well-organized bins with loaner items for kids who forget and gifting coats available to help out families in need will help keep outdoor learning possible. This will ensure that all students can participate and benefit from the valuable experiences provided by the Outdoor Learning program.

Our students are indeed unique. We have outstanding students from a rural area who know how to appreciate outdoor learning content. They have grown to love our weekly outdoor sessions on Thursdays, where they immerse themselves in the environment and learn how to sustain it. Keeping them cozy while they engage in this meaningful learning will further enhance their connection to the natural world.

By providing the necessary resources to keep them comfortable and engaged, you will foster their love for the environment and create an inclusive and equitable learning environment for all students.
