My Students

I teach a diverse group of artistic students at a Title I visual and performing arts school in downtown Los Angeles. Students come from all over the city to our public high school to receive a top-notch education in both academics and their chosen art form (music, dance, visual arts or theater) and go on to study at some of the top academic colleges and art schools across the country.

My Fashion Club is very motivated to design and create this year and want to help the entire school with their mask-making project!

My Project

My Fashion Club has been working hard remotely to plan for some great projects when we return to in-person learning, hopefully soon. As part of their ideas, they would love to set up a mask-making station once we return to help students stay safe and promote their creativity.

All of the materials requested in this project will support my students in designing, sewing, and decorating their own masks.

The teal fabric and black vinyl will be perfect for students to wear our school colors with pride. The white fabric and markers will allow my artistic students to express themselves creativity. The plastic will allow us to make pattern templates to assist our beginning sewers be successful with their projects and the pony beads and elastic will help students make comfortable and adjustable masks. I am really excited to see my students again and help them bring this project to life- thank you for your consideration and support!
