My Students

My students this year are Freshmen who are extremely motivated. They love to use language in the classroom and have fun speaking French even outside of the classroom. We enjoy using Flipgrid and other online platforms for speaking practice.

These highly motivated students inspire me to give it all my all everyday.

Our class is very diverse and made up of students from the Caribbean, Europe, Canada and the United States. Being from the Caribbean myself, I encourage them to make the class a community where we respect and appreciate our differences. French is something new and different for them all and together we strive for excellence. We celebrate all our accomplishments everyday.

My Project

Covid 19 has drastically interfered with learning - teachers must wear masks to instruct which impairs students’ ability to hear.

Students must also wear masks which sometimes break or burst throughout the day.

They then need to seek permission to go to the dean’s office or the nurse to obtain a new mask.

I am trying to procure a substantial number of replacement masks to keep on hand to avoid them having to leave the room and interrupt their learning. This would be a huge help to both teachers and students alike!
