Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students in my classroom are a bridge self-contained 4/5 class. Both groups of students have different special needs and come different economic households. Many of the students come from diverse ethnic backgrounds and speak more than one language. Students need multiple opportunities to practice concepts more than once in the classroom through different modalities of learning.

Many of these students come to school with a disposition to learn, but need much support, especially from their teachers and service providers such as speech therapists, counselors, occupational therapists, and community building exercises.

My Project

The monitors I'm requesting will support students while I'm teaching one group of students in the front of the classroom a whole class lesson and the other monitor will be positioned in a place where the classroom paraprofessional will continue to aid students in working in a small group. The reason why I chose the monitors is because they occupy a small space in relation to a Smart board and are more cost efficient to have. The monitors will be used to project from the laptop onto the monitor and students' will be able to view and have access to the specific learning content for the day.
