My Students

Do you remember endless computation problems in math? Well my students are faced with the new challenges of the common core curriculum and we need new and fun ways to reach these higher standards!

My students are 4th and 5th special education students.

They are in a class of 12 students because they require small group instruction in every subject all day. They are a fun, energetic bunch and enjoy coming to school every day. Our school is in NYC and my class is diverse! They participate in a free breakfast and lunch program daily, and often stay late at school to receive extra help from after school programs.

My Project

We need fun math activities to help my students reach the lofty common core standards. My students are expected to take the SAME tests as their general education peers. However they need more time to master the same material. These centers and workbooks will help them see the problems in multiple forms and achieve mastery.

By contributing to this project you are helping my students reach their goal and adjust to these standards.

I want my students to be successful, and these materials will help them to do that.
