My Students
In my classroom students are always actively engaged and ready to learn. Their enthusiasm for learning thrives when lessons contain hands-on activities and content relevant to them. I hope that my students achieve all the academic goals they set for themselves last month.
I have nine students in my classroom, four are third grade students and five are second grade students.

My Project
My students need differentiated materials for math. They need peg number boards, fraction equivalency puzzles, place value blocks, math journals, and more. The students in my room will use the requested math manipulatives each day during our math lessons. The concrete, hands-on materials will deepen their knowledge of number sense, place value and fractions. Although the students follow different math curriculums (grades K,2 and 3), the manipulatives can be used by all of my math groups.
The manipulatives will help all of my students to develop their knowledge of number sense.
When I do my lessons on the white board, using the ten frame will help my students to visualize the numbers presented to them. I have a diverse group of learners and using manipulates such as the fraction pieces and visuals will be essential to the students' success.
