Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, I see my students are faced with several challenges in and out of the classroom. What is amazing about my students is that they don't allow these hardships to stop them from being successful!

The students in my classroom are full of energy and very enthusiastic about learning!

Our school is a Title I school that serves students who come from a diverse set of backgrounds and experiences. For our students, rich classroom experiences are what lead them to their passions and future pursuits. We are a community of learners and thinkers who love a new challenge and embrace new things everyday!

We want to go back to school so badly and be able to be together as a class!

My Project

My Leadership students need markers to help make posters to "COLOR" our campus! I want all students to feel like school is BACK in a big way -- and for me, that means making sure that my Leadership students have all the supplies they need to make an impact from day 1. This project's materials will allow them to do that.

After a year like last year, my students are looking to return to normalcy, and what better way than for my leadership class to get creative with their posters and school-wide marketing?

These materials, from the poster boards to the markers, will help the school be a welcoming environment that the kiddos are excited to come back to.
