My Title I-funded school serves students from Pre-K to fifth grade and is housed in a rural, North Carolina neighborhood that serves students of families with a variety of needs and abilities. My first grade students need access to the arts within their classroom daily, as they only have 30 minutes of art instruction a week, and I would like to foster their creative energy during every class session.
My Project
My first graders need access to reusable art materials, and this bulk marker kit and marker stands are just the ticket! These stands help us keep track of the markers and the lids. For first graders in my Title I-funded school, supplies often run out before holiday break.
Marker stands for each of my five table groups means each group has their own materials to support them learning valuable sharing and responsibility skills, as well as keeping their love of art alive.
My students deserve access to these materials, and their families often cannot provide any assistance with these types of materials that keep learning fun for young elementary students.
