Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We have a group of 40 eager students who participate in a Mariachi group after school twice a week for two hours. They enjoy playing their instruments and performing at different events in the community. The students are very eager and happy to learn their songs and play their instruments after school.

Our school is a Title 1 school in which all the students receive free lunch and are also provided breakfast in the classroom to get their day started.

Many of the students live in very small apartments with multiple families living together. School becomes a second home for many of the students and they feel safe and happy to be at school every day.

My Project

The wireless speaker and microphone will help during rehearsals and also for outside events when there are no microphones available. These items will be very helpful during the annual parade that they participate.

The students get invited to many events in the community throughout the year and we are in desperate need of a wireless speaker and microphones so everyone can hear their beautiful singing voices and enjoy the concert.

The portable wireless bluetooth speaker and microphone will give the students confidence when they are practicing their songs for the performances that are sometimes in outdoor venues and it is light for the students to carry.
