This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our Mariachi Club aims to provide equitable access to music, language and cultural knowledge opportunities for students through musical education. Through a generous donation of violins, our Mariachi Club was born in October 2022 with 9 students. The success of our club helped us expand and in February 2023, we were able to welcome 7 more students to our club by offering guitars, vihuelas, and guitarrón.

With this fundraising project, we hope to raise money for much needed maintenance costs of instruments such as new strings for violins, guitars, vihuelas and guitarrón.
