This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 9th grade social studies students are studying global history. As they learn about events and people of the past, they would benefit so much if they had maps and globes to help them understand the extent to which geography and topography have influenced so much of world history.

I believe that if they have maps and globes of the political boundaries and the geographic features of the world in front of them, and can refer to them on a daily basis, they will gain a better understanding of how geography has impacted history.

The variety of 2-dimensional maps and 3-dimensional globes in this project are to help all of my global history students, this year and long into the future, to gain a clear understanding of the organization of the nations and geographic features of the world.
