My Project

My students are really thriving in their map studies and understanding where places are on current maps. They struggle, however, to understand the changing borders and settlements of humans over time.

Having historical atlases will allow my students to study maps of specific places over time.

It will help them to actually SEE the history of the peoples and the lands on which they settled. They will analyze how the land forms and resources shaped settlements; they will be able to draw conclusions about why people have chosen to settle in particular locations.
