My Project

These open-ended manipulatives I chose for my students have endless possibilities for them to discover. My students will get plenty of practice in hand dexterity and hand-eye coordination. These building blocks are not just toys. They are educational tools that promote STEM learning. They will also help establish crucial skills like problem-solving, spatial awareness, color discrimination, foundational math concepts, and improve fine motor skills. In addition, they are perfect tools for my pre-k students as they incorporate a hands-on approach to learning. It has been my experience that children learn better when they are engaged in their learning. I noticed when my students are involved in playing with the manipulative, they are employed, and it encourages exploration and enables them to increase their critical thinking skills.
