My Students

My students are second graders who are ready to start a fun and exciting school year! They are a diverse group of wonderful children with minds ready for learning. I love seeing their smiling faces and eager minds ready for the day in the morning.

Our school is a Title I school in Brooklyn.

We are very ethnically and financially diverse. I want to give my students a great start to their school year and make it a very memorable one and continue their love and desire to learn in the future!

My Project

Math manipulatives help students learn in a fun manner. It helps with hands on learning. Visual learning is an important part of learning for children. By seeing what is being taught it helps students grasp a better understanding of the topic at hand.

Math manipulatives are a very important part of both learning and teaching.

The manipulatives will be used all year long in every area of our mathematics journey. The money will be used to help learn the value of coins and dollars and how to add and subtract money. The clocks will be used in helping learn to tell time. The place value blocks will be used for addition, subtraction, and place value. Of course Bingo games will be used for fun and practice!
