This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
A goal that I hope to meet throughout this upcoming school year is to have students engaged and enjoying their learning. Using manipulatives, or objects that students interact with in order to reinforce a lesson is a proven strategy to help keep students involved while enhancing their understanding.
Students with diverse learning needs require access to tools that build understanding at their individual levels.
When activities require students to be hands-on, concepts are reinforced and students control their own learning experience. More often than not, the use of manipulatives has proven to meet and help those students who struggle academically. Help me create more equitable learning opportunities in this classroom!
