Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Manipulatives make a world of difference for us! I teach in a special education class for children between the ages 5-7 who have autism or developmental delays. Our classroom is located in a wonderful school in a low income city in Massachusetts.

I am a first year teacher, so supplies for my children are limited until I get to build my own classroom library of "goodies". Unfortunately, when my math kit was ordered it was ordered without any manipulatives as opposed to a math kit with manipulatives.

With these manipulatives, my students can get hands on learning with math! Each set of manipulatives can be used in more than one way and can give my children the opportunity to get "hooked" on math with active learning.

With your help you will make it possible for these children to expand their learning opportunities with hands-on math activities! These children have a difficult time sitting for long periods of time so with your help we can get their bodies moving as well as their brains!
