My Project

My students in second grade come in missing basic skills and are still expected to do grade level curriculum. Currently we are using the Bridges in Mathematics curriculum and in second grade it focuses on the progression of physical to abstract ways of solving problems.

With your help I will be able to provide my students with hands on manipulatives that will help them with the progression of physical to abstract strategies.

My students will have access to their own reknreks, then progress to beaded lines, then to number lines, and lastly the hope is to be able to use open number lines all on their own.
