My Students

We can do no great things, only small things with great love. ~Mother Teresa With limited math manipulatives in the classroom, we face many challenges with our daily explorations.

I teach a wonderful group of second grade students in Florida.

My kids are responsible, well-behaved, self-motivated, mature, considerate, enthusiastic, well-rounded, positive, mannerly, attentive, trustworthy, and enduring. Our classroom family embraces challenges and work to synergize in daily situations. Their compassion motivates me daily!

My Project

As a math lead, you'd think I would have ample supplies for my students to manipulate in our daily workshop. Sadly, this is untrue. I have ordered various math manipulatives to provide concrete examples of multiple math concepts. I will use the large manipulatives to teach these concepts in a whole group setting. Students will be able to use smaller manipulatives, such as the money, counters, and place value blocks as tools for addition and subtraction situations during work time and independent work stations.

Having the right tools to practice math strategies will improve our math performance and generate positive data on benchmarks.

These tools are essential during our daily workshop.
