My Students

We are exploring the world around us, inside and outside of the traditional classroom, and learning the importance of community, past and present. By working with each other to provide a better learning environment, we are setting high goals for learning and projects.

We are a Title I school.

It takes more than just our local community to grow our classrooms. This year especially, schools like mine need additional help. With the current events, our students are being asked to do the same thing without the resources to get it accomplished.

My Project

We are a class that is currently learning 3D computer drafting and design. Our current materials used for the class do not meet all of our safety protocols for Covid cleaning. Two additional Oculus will allow more students to regularly use our design program with in the system. These will be used for every student in the program.

We can not safely clean our program tools with out severely limiting our students ability to learn in a timely manner.

In class learning will continue at a more fluid pace instead of having students bouncing around navigating around lessons not involving the oculus. This bouncing has previously caused confusion and learning material out of order to accommodate for cleaning practices and sharing. Having more then one oculus will also allow students to check out the device and work from home in the chance we go long term virtual learning at any point in the year. Ideally they will stay in the class room, routinely cleaned safely and shared among those in the program.
