Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We have a diverse group of students. Our students come from various backgrounds, speak different languages, but all want to do their best and succeed. Many of our students are non-English speaking students and will be the first in their family to graduate high school. We are a Title I school, where 70% or more students receive free or reduced-price lunch.

Help me help my students be the best they can be, achieve their goals, and reach their dreams.

With many language barriers in our school, having various modes for students to learn is a must. Many of our students are workforce bound so teaching them skills for a career is very important.

My Project

A large population of my students loves Manga books. I am trying to increase my library selection and this grant will purchase a much-requested series. I want to provide reading materials for all my students.

Most Manga series has over 30 books and with a tight budget, it is hard to purchase an entire series.

This grant is for an entire series that students have been requesting for some time.

Students will be so happy to see this series on the shelf available for check out. And with new series students will tell a friend and friend will tell a friend and then the library traffic will increase as well as book check out.
