My Project

Manga promotes reading with pictures and words that help to process information faster and with more accuracy. This is called multimodal thinking, and in our visual society, this critical thinking ability helps to support literacy and to promote strong reading comprehension. Manga conveys a story not only with words, but with art. Readers not only read the words, but make a visual connection to the text. We are looking to build a robust collection to further support the goals of our library in making reading available across the entire student body...plus it's fun!
