it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We're only 4 weeks into a new school year and already I'm seeing the incredible impact that our first manga project is having. Students are eagerly checking out the books and begging for more! The shelves, nearly full a few weeks ago, are now looking empty. I'm excited to see so many students coming into the library and want to make sure we have what they're seeking.
Help us grow our manga collection to engage readers and increase student excitement about visiting the library!
The newly formed anime club made a list of manga they want to order, so my goal is to get those books on our shelves as soon as possible. I can show that we are responsive to student interests by stocking the shelves with the books they are requesting. Because manga come in series, you can guarantee that students will come back for more which is an excellent way to grow their literacy skills. Kids are happy and developing their literacy skills at the same time- a huge win!
