My Project

I don't know about you, but I struggle to make it through the day when I am overwhelmed, anxious, and confused. The same goes for our students. When expectations aren't being understood or it feels like the school day will never end, tantrums and shutdowns are to be expected. My class has settled into a routine and my students usually know what is expected of them, but we still sometimes struggle to understand, become easily distracted, or lose our patience. We're human! I am requesting visual timers and the materials needed to make my students their own visual schedules.

I believe my students will thrive if they are able to see exactly what is expected of them and watch their list of tasks shrink throughout the day.

These visual schedules and timers will help to avoid overwhelmed students and confusion and hopefully spark hope and perseverance in my classroom. This will not only help my students, but will help the adults in my room to know what has or has not been completed throughout the day.

My 8 students are loving, energetic, creative, joyful, and intuitive. I desire to teach my students not to simply survive, but to thrive. I believe, with your support, we will be able to "Manage Our Minutes" and I will provide an environment where my students have clarity, understanding, and are ready to learn and grow in the limited time we have every day!
