My Project

As the school counselor I work with students ranging from PreK - 12th grade who are facing issues with anxiety, anger management, divorce, grief, and social skills. Although these children come to school each day for their academics, addressing their social and emotional needs it is crucial to their success.

These toys and games can be used to engage students in opening up about their emotions that they are struggling with.

It can be difficult to talk to someone about your feelings, and I want to be sure my students can come into the office and ease some of those anxious feelings.

Play therapy helps children to understand their emotions and learn more helpful behaviors. With these items, I will be able to provide the students with activities to help them grow at each developmental stage.
