My Students

Imagine moving every four years of your life. Will the school I'm going to have similar things as my current school? Is often a question I hear from students. I work in one of the largest elementary schools in the county comprised of over 600 students.

Most of the students are from Military families.

Therefore, we have a 40% mobility rate. Specials classes, like Music, are the glue that keeps our students motivated to learn. Our students are bright, imaginative, and ready to learn.

My Project

The mallets and sticks that I am requesting for my students will ensure that every student will have an opportunity to play on our classroom instruments. There's nothing like having instruments to play but not having the correct mallets or sticks to play them.

This project will allow students to show appropriate playing technique on the classroom instruments as they play accompaniment pieces and create their own music.

Rhythm sticks are not only a fun way to keep a steady beat but give younger students a way to rhythmically accompany the pieces of music we study.

Included are mallets for students with special needs so that the students I serve can be successful and creative in Music class. These items will be used in every grade level to improve student musicianship.
