My Project

This project will enhance my students’ learning experience and help them dive into an exciting new world—our ocean! As part of our curriculum, we explore the wonders of marine life, ecosystems, and the importance of ocean conservation. I am seeking funding for a collection of ocean-themed books to supplement our lessons, all of which meet literacy standards and will provide my students with the opportunity to grow as readers and global citizens.

The ocean-themed books I’m requesting will help my students connect their love of learning with meaningful real-world topics.

These books align with our curriculum and are designed to meet literacy standards by providing engaging narratives, expanding vocabulary, and encouraging critical thinking. Whether it's a story about a sea turtle's journey or learning about coral reefs, these books will introduce important scientific concepts while strengthening their reading skills. They’ll have the opportunity to practice fluency, comprehension, and problem-solving as they read books that are both captivating and educational.

What I love most about my students is their natural curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. Every day, they come into the classroom with a desire to explore, ask questions, and engage in new ideas. They bring so much energy and creativity to every lesson, and their passion for discovering the world around them is truly inspiring.
