Making Time for Art

My Project

Earlier this year we were able to acquire some art materials to begin our art exploration in my multicultural art class as well as supplement learning in science and advisory classes. Students have loved it! I got a new group of art students at the semester, and they are asking if they will get to do a lot of the projects my first semester students did.

I would love to provide an enriching experience for my new multicultural art students to continue their love and exploration of art.

We will be ending the year with painting and metal wire sculptures. I have some of the non-consumable materials like brushes, and some left over paints at this point, but we need to replenish and hopefully upgrade on a few of the other needed items. I would like to have a set of reusable tumblers, so we don't waste so many paper cups. Aprons would be a nice addition, so my students aren't as worried about damaging their clothes (not an affordable option). I salvaged lots of metal wire from a warehouse and students would like to embellish their ocean sculptures with beads. These are just a few of the upgrades that would help complete and enhance our artistic endeavors.

My students are creative, appreciative, and still at an influential age. They came to me with the ideas for metal art and different types of painting, so I am trying to help their dreams take wings. We appreciate all the help we can get! Additionally, many of the items requested this time will provide years of use for students to come.
