Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a wonderful class of fifth grade students in a title I school in Richmond Hill, Queens. My students are a mixture of special education students and general education students and come from diverse backgrounds. They are all eager to learn and explore the world.

My Project

September is going to be a learning experience for all those involved - whether students are learning 100 percent from home or partly at home and partly at school, the new normal will ask students and teachers to expand how they traditionally teach and learn. We may not have access to the same books and materials that we usually do when students are in the classroom full time.

The resources that are available on Teachers Pay Teachers will allow us to expand what students can access at home as well as school and give us the ability to differentiate based on topic, learning style, ability level and area of need.

These resources will enhance the curriculum we have access to and give us the ability to expand on topics that may not have as many traditional digital options for students learning at home.
