Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are learning about STEM with hands-on learning experiences. We use the Engineering Process and CER inquiry for our investigations and projects. My students range in age from 4 to 8 and have all different learning needs. Not only that, but they are also learning all of the material bilingually! They are learning rock stars!

My Project

A color printer will make a huge impact in the STEM class. We will be able to print visuals for the classroom and bulletin boards that are bright, eye-catching, and interesting for the students.

STEM class and its content are pivotal to boosting students' interest and engagement in fields of study that are important and on the rise.

The color printer will help in creating colorful printed materials to be laminated and reused year to year with students. They will have access to visual images that they can reference to build items or for them to visualize how to solve a challenge presented to them. Students can also create their own teacher support google slides to show their work and learning. These slides can then be printed and posted on the classroom bulletin board and later sent home to families. This tool and replacement ink for when our supplies run low will provide great new tools and opportunities for all our learners in STEM this year and for years to come.
