Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students will gain knowledge of how to use basic paper circuitry to create an interactive piece of abstract expressionist artwork. Showing the students how circuitry works, teaching them how they can design their own layout, placement, if the lights are on/off, interactive, or remain a constant is the first step. With your help, it will spark their creativity to follow this process through. From this point the students will learn about Wassily Kandinsky and Synesthesia. The culmination of this uint will join the paper circuitry to a musical interpretation with lines, color, and light. Each student will create a work of Abstract Expressionism incorporating the placement of their own circuitry design to achieve primary and secondary focus points with the lit features.

My students are fascinated by visuals and technology.

I have a large group of diverse learners. No matter their diversity, the cell phones, tablets, and laptops are able to capture them in an instant and keep them hooked. I want to show them how they can make their own visual and technological magic. By virtue of your assistance this can create the STEAM they need to a bright future.
