Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Seat sacks allow students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During transition time students. Currently, my students have a long table and share a small storage for 5 students at one table. The things that can't fit on the desk sit on top of the desk in small buckets. The supplies that sit on top of the desk will often block students' view from learning. We spend some of the day moving around the items but still be available for students to access easily. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are able to have their materials easily available to them. They almost always make good choices in cleaning up their materials, are more engaged when they can quickly get to what is needed, and get more work completed than when they are just sitting at their desk.

The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional space to make more effective learning choices.

The seat sacks are adjustable and will allow students to sit at desks/tables and have their own personal supplies. These will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need organization skills. They are lightweight and can be easily used on any seat in the classroom.

I have seen how choice can positively affect my student's work and demeanor and hope that the additional options will help us grow even more!
