Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My fifth-grade group is a diverse and gifted community of young scholars who are determined to succeed. Many of my students come from different backgrounds, have different interests and learning styles, and require various accommodations to be met. To remain on task, we provide various sensory tools that help students exert their nervous energy to focus more easily on the instruction at hand. These tools are also very useful when working on STEM projects and investigations.

We are asking for various sensory tools that are beneficial to keeping our focus on learning, and less on distractions that trigger us to lose concentration.

The play dough, fidget tools, sensory slime and stress balls will not only help curb their nervous and energetic jitters, but will also help during times of STEM learning. Often times, these tools are difficult to replace as they can get costly or be meant for one-time use. Your generous donation will not only provide us with the sensory tools we need to help us while learning, but it will also ease the worry that comes with replacing them.
