My Students

The job I am currently in is unique because the students I have are very unique in nature. The students are incredibly creative and are excited about learning. I am blessed to get to teach across diverse students who are learning to dive into math and science. Some are more advanced than others, but still display a delay in reading and math, and other subjects due to the pandemic. However, they are dedicated to making strives to become great readers, writers, scientists, and mathematicians in the virtual classroom.

In case, you haven't guessed yet, I am a virtual teacher in a public school setting.

Last school term, our district created a virtual program because of the global pandemic. I could go into my home school and make copies and materials needed. However, this school term I can only go to the board office about 45 minutes away to make copies. The printer and headset will allow me to create materials and send them to my mathematicians and scientists directly from my workstation and the headset will allow me to move around and teach during our virtual meetings.

My Project

The headset will be resources used by me, the teacher, to assist my students in their virtual learning. The headset will give me the mobility to move around as I demonstrate experiments and as I teach lessons. I will not have to be stationary. I can move towards a chart and the students can still be able to hear me as I will hear them.

The printer will be used to assist in creating materials for class.

I will create them and can print them to put in packets for the parents to pick up for the students to have the necessary lesson materials for the unit.

Both of these items are useful in assisting students with this year's virtual experience.
