My Students

My students are smart, curious, fun-loving, creative, and hardworking. My 18 students represent various cultures and learning levels from kindergarten to third grade. My school consists of 1000+students from diverse backgrounds and abilities. I set high expectations for all of my students and want to provide them with the necessary tools in order to succeed.

My Project

As a first year teacher, my book collection is somewhat limited. I have spent the last year trying to accumulate as many interesting books as I could for my classroom. I would love to provide some new books for my students to read and love! It can be difficult to get kids excited about reading, but I feel confident with new books that are appealing to them, they will not want to put the books down! Also, I think that providing each child with their own reading buddy will inspire them to pick up books more often!
