My Students

Hello...preschoolers are amazing little people. I have students ages 3-5 in my classroom. The majority of my children have special needs. Some use infant toddle toys due to their ability. I have been teaching for the Early Learning Program for 13 years. This year I had 5 families request me because I have other children in their family. The children in my classroom show us so much love and help us see the positives in life. I had to take a leave of absence due to having cancer 2 years ago. I had wonderful families bring me food, offer to help watch my daughter, and pray for me.

My Project

Hello, thank you for taking the time to read about my children. I have a very diverse preschool classroom. I have children who are non verbal and developmentally at an infant stage and children who are typically developing 5 year old's. With the children spending more time on technology we have seen the children less interested in reading books. I am hoping to have more things in my classroom that them become more interested in letters, reading books, and retelling stories. I'm looking for more learning materials that my non verbal students can use to retell stories.
