My Students

Hello everyone! I am writing for my upcoming kindergarten class in the new year! My students will be working on a lot of writing/reading this year to build their stamina for the first grade.

My classroom is in short supply of Non-Fiction and Poetry books that we use in our Teachers College Curriculum.

They also need pencils, mini staplers ( for their books), post its/labels, and a paper cutter for all the fun activities that we will work on!

With all of the materials bought, my students will have a chance to be their own individual authors and take ownership of their writing.

My Project

All of the materials I put on the list will really help my students in the upcoming year to build on their Reading and Writing skills! The items (pencils, staplers, labels) are a great way for the students to shine in their individual writing. We also have a paper cutter so I can create exciting writing templates for the students to use. The sign and date stamp is a great tool for students to review their writing from the beginning of the year and monitor their writing at the end of the year- it is amazing to see the progress all of my students accomplish throughout the school year. They can take ownership and use a rubric to assess their own writing as well as their peers.

Our new Teachers College ELA Program is an amazing curriculum that I want my students to learn from- build their reading stamina and writing skills!

I want my students to see the potential they have and to make Reading and Writing fun and educational!
