My Project

My students are an amazing group of natural scientists. They are curious, observant, and great questioners. They love learning about, and caring for, smaller living things.

Students are fascinated by our plants and are learning to appreciate each living things purposeful structures, but non-English speakers are working too hard to keep up.

Having a wide variety of plant samples, living and dried, sparks students' curiosity, and brings more life into our classroom! Of course, plants in all stages make our learning space more engaging, more peaceful, and more beautiful.

Our new exploration station is beautiful and very engaging, filled with seed pods of all shapes and sizes. All it needs are a few display cases that can fit giant pine cones and fragile birds' nests and the like.

Having a hand-held translator [that isn't my phone!] will allow students from around the world to participate and communicate freely. What a difference this would make for everyone in the class! The wireless keyboard would help make lessons more mobile and untether me from my desk when showing presentation on the SMART board for the students.

All in all, I hope to make the science and technology classroom as beautiful, welcoming, useful, and engaging as they can possibly be because the children, I serve deserve it. Thank you for your support.
