My Project

I teach at a Title I school where many of my students come from very loving homes, but homes that often struggle financially. With the recent closure of a chicken plant that provided many jobs to our students’ families, our kids and families are dealing with many stressors.

With this project, I am hoping to make our classroom inviting, warm, and cozy.

The project includes items such as a rug that we will use to join together for our social-emotional learning. The lamps and borders in the project will help to create an environment that is warm and relaxing for the students.

I know that if my students can come to a place where they feel safe and relaxed, they will be in a better position to learn, and a great education is the best thing I can give my students.
