My Students

The best learning comes from hands-on activities. This project is designed to help them to become independent learners with hands-on activities.

My students are so wonderful.

The curiosity and love for learning makes me excited to teach them anyway I can. I am blessed to teach in the same community where my husband works as a firefighter; helping the community in different ways. I would give anything for my students and hope to inspire a love of learning in each and every one of them.

My Project

One strategy to help develop number sense is for students to work with Ten Frames. My students are exposed to and work with Ten Frames daily in whole group and small group lessons. Funding of this project would get a Magnetic Ten Frame in each of their hands which will keep them actively engaged in our lesson.

Students learn math best when they are able to be actively engaged and use manipulative materials.

Students need to be able to "DO" to best understand concepts. Your support with this project will help me develop number sense in my students by providing each student their own Ten Frame to use during lessons.
