My Project

Lessons will go on smoothly if we had these materials.

The items on my cart will complement several parts of my Structured Literacy lesson.

Students will be able to use the materials during the Auditory Drill where students hear the sound that a letter makes and they have to write the letter that makes that sound. They will also use it during Dictation: Dictation of sounds, words, and sentences. They will use it for Orthographic Mapping: students tap the sounds they hear in a word. Then, they map the number of sounds, and then write it on the board. We call this Tap it, Map it, Graph it.

Elkonin boxes will support students acquire they phonemic awareness/fluency they need to become readers.
