My Project

As a music & chorus teacher, I aim to create an engaging environment where creativity, collaboration, and self-expression thrive. The resources I’m requesting will help my students develop musical skills while promoting physical movement, teamwork, and creativity. This project will provide tools that support both music and physical education, encouraging holistic development.

How the specific items will make a difference in learning:

1. **Manhasset Music Stand Storage Cart (Holds 25)**

This cart will help organize and distribute music stands, streamlining transitions and improving focus.

2. **Boomwhackers 54 Tube Classroom Pack**

These teach rhythm, pitch, and music theory through interactive, hands-on play, promoting group coordination and rhythm awareness.

3. **Stretchy Bands (Bear Paw Creek Stretchy Band)**

These bands will enhance coordination and listening skills through creative movement and rhythm-based exercises.

4. **Hopscotch Outdoor Squares and Parachutes**

These items will support physical coordination and teamwork, integrating rhythm with gross motor skills through outdoor games.

5. **Bean Bags and Multicolor Drinking Cups**

These tools will assist with rhythmic games and coordination exercises, helping students improve motor skills while following musical cues.

6. **My First Songbooks**

These books will introduce music theory and notation, while guiding students through simple songs to perform individually and in groups.

7. Other Materials (Cable Organizers, Floor Cord Cover These materials will help maintain a safe and organized classroom, ensuring smooth operations for music instruction.

Goals for this project:

- Increase student engagement with music

- Encourage collaboration and teamwork
