This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love coming to school and are always eager to learn. The students in my school come from diverse backgrounds and have a variety of needs. They are enthusiastic, caring, and full of life. My students thoroughly enjoy reading, especially series books!

I work in a Title One school in Brooklyn, New York, which means my students come from low-income homes.

All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch. Even though they face challenges, they are always striving to do their best.

My Project

Using math manipulates in the classroom is a way for students to gain a conceptual understanding of math concepts and skills. The manipulatives in this project will aid my students as they start learning about multiplication for the first time. Manipulatives are also a fun and engaging way for students to see math come to life.

The students will use these materials during math lessons, independent work time, and small groups.

The students will benefit from these learning tools throughout the whole school year as they learn about multiplying and dividing whole numbers.
