Help Mrs. Watson

I currently teach at a low income school that has very minimal math manipulatives. We have also started a new math adoption that has been extremely difficult to the students.

Have you ever tried to complete a project without having the project in front of you? Well, try teaching children that don't have manipulatives in front of them to figure out their math. Math is not easy for students to "picture". They need concrete objects to see the big picture!

Having this array of manipulatives will allow me to be able to have more students that are able to use fake money. Teaching fractions is also difficult, especially when there's nothing for the students to "see". Having these materials will get them more involved and become successful.

Your generosity will be the driving force to my students' learning. You will put smiles on their faces when they see that they can get down and dirty during their math lesson. Please help me make a difference in their lives. If I believe in them, shouldn't you too?
