My Students

Pandemic problems? Not in my virtual first grade! This year I have the honor of teaching 24 amazing students virtually.

They amaze every day with their love of learning, resiliency, creativity, and effort.

I was so worried that I would not be able to create a strong classroom community but boy was I wrong! Their shouts of "You're the best teacher EVER!" and having to force them out of our meeting at the end of the day because they don't want to leave makes my heart want to explode! My students are incredibly special and make me so proud!

My Project

My virtual first-grade students need engaging, hands-on tools to make learning come to life. With the funding of this project, I will be able to gift each of my students a 10x10 pop-it fidget which will act as their own interactive 100 chart for math. The students will be able to use this fidget for building their addition and subtraction fact fluency as well as place value skills. They will be completely engaged while they make their math skills will POP! It doesn't get any better than that!
