My Project

As a veteran teacher, I have seen the success rates when using math hands on learning. Students gain more success when they are able to manipulate their learning instead of just listening to explanations of how things are worked out.

Students retain more learning when they are able to use tools to practice what they are seeing and hearing.

This is why my class needs this Math Tool Kit. It has so many resources that offer students the opportunity to practice their learning in centers or small groups.

Being in a new classroom, I have no math tools to use with my students. We have done our best this year to make paper tools but it would be nice to get the Math Manipulative Kit and the Clocks to practice and reinforce what they hear and see taught in class.
