Help me give my students an engaging math experience with math manipulatives and games that allow them to interact with math in a variety of fun and unique ways.
Students often see math as tiring worksheets, one-dimensional and not relatable. The goal of this project is to change that for students that struggle with middle school math. These games and math manipulatives will allow students to participate in the classroom in fun and engaging methods. A few ways these tools will be utilized in my classroom include, but are not limited to:
- Introducing new topics to the students
- Practice prior knowledge skills
- Work with concepts outside the traditional paper and pencil method and allow them to make connections to concepts typically taught in isolation.
- Pulling small groups for intervention and enrichment
