My Project

Students love getting to write on the board. So why not encourage it with their own white board groups?! I have been inspired by "Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics," by Peter Liljedahl to break away from sitting all period to moving around and get talking about math. To accomplish this we will need flexible seating and lots of dry erase markers! LOTS! This year we have been going through markers like crazy! My students will be more engaged when they get to work cooperatively and creatively to solve problems. Working together makes some of the difficult tasks seem more approachable. I really hope someone considers funding my math classroom!
